How to become self-employed and successful? After surviving kidnapping and rape, Ozzin Jun has become a successful Coaching Consultant.

Not everyone is suited to self-employment. The challenges and dangers are great. Those who dare to do it anyway have plenty to talk about. In an interview with Ozzin Jun, those who still want to take the risk can find out how it can work. The fact that she has been written about in over 190 publications around the world is perhaps less surprising than her age. Ozzin is 26 years old.

thebroker had the opportunity to interview Ozzin Jun during one of her stopovers in Switzerland.

It is impossible to start this interview without mentioning the year 2019, when your life took a devastating turn. You were only 19 years old. What happened?

In 2019 I survived a kidnap and rape here in Switzerland. I experienced 24/7 stalking and I missed out in school for 1 month. It left me with a lot of traumas and consequences in my health. I had panic attacks, anxiety, eating disorders, skin eczema, trust issues, constant tension in my body and I lacked purpose in my life. I felt lost despite my passion for many things in life. I went through court trials for 3 years. Navigating all of this was not easy, but I feel very blessed that I can now help other survivors in similar situations and that I’ve learned a lot through this experience.

Tell us how your life went on after that and how you came to terms with what you had experienced.

Fast forward to today, I’m in a loving, healthy relationship with my boyfriend. One of the ways I healed myself was through my concept and upcoming book titled “Marry Yourself.” It focuses on entering a deeper relationship with yourself before anyone else. I emphasize the power of self-compassion over mere self-love. It’s often easy for people to love themselves when life is going well, but when we’re not in our power, sick, or facing difficult times, it takes a lot more compassion. Self-love can quickly turn into self-hate. Sometimes, by focusing solely on us, we can overlook the blessings and the community around us. Therefore, self-compassion, “marrying myself,” and having faith to reclaim my full worth were the ultimate keys to changing my life. This horrible experience also granted me the greatest gift: deeper levels of compassion, empathy, a stronger sense of purpose, and fully claiming my self-worth. Unfortunately, many women go through similar experiences, watering down their gifts and power. I’m here to change that.

How did you go from surviving a horror in your youth to becoming the founder of Jun Coaching Consultance and Your Universal Way?

I use all my past painful experiences to create a brighter future. Growing up in a middle-class family with financial struggles and witnessing my parents‘ divorce taught me valuable lessons in leadership. I was driven to find ways to make money online without trading my time, having seen how hard my family worked for it. During university, I felt that some teachings were outdated and restrictive, which motivated me to start a side hustle in digital marketing and invest in online courses and mentors. I believe in applying what I learn quickly and prefer learning business from those who have successfully navigated it.

After experimenting with various online ventures, my skillset compounded, leading me to transition naturally into a Business Coach. I find immense joy in helping others transform themselves and run their businesses with strong purpose and fulfillment. As more people sought my guidance on various aspects of my business, I felt a natural calling to support them in leadership, purpose, and messaging.

My initiative, Your Universal Way, emerged in 2020 during COVID when I noticed many people struggling mentally. I created an Instagram account to share daily insights on mental health and my personal experiences. Over the past 1-2 years, I also battled chronic illness, experiencing over 200 different symptoms, including skin eczema and severe fatigue, which often landed me in the hospital. I found healing in 2024 through celery juice, heavy metal detox by Anthony Williams, and lifestyle changes. While some organs are still recovering from toxin exposure, my journey has ignited my passion for empowering others in their physical, mental, and spiritual healing. It’s essential to address physical health when discussing mental well-being.

You went from being a student with six figures in debt and a college dropout to becoming an international speaker and business mentor. How did you do it?

I embraced my given purpose. Many people speak about finding one’s purpose in life, but I found that our purpose is already given to us. Sometimes our biggest chaos and mess in life, whether in our health, relationships, or financial situations can be a great mirror reflecting our given purpose. When you emerge from these challenges, you gain the power to help many people with your insights and experiences. I flipped the selfie stick not just toward myself, but toward others, and that’s what kept me going during my darkest hours. I always had faith that I had a big calling in life, but I wasn’t fully expressing myself vulnerably and embracing my gifts to serve others.

I started by releasing my first videos and content on Instagram about my coaching business. Through my consistency in posting and messaging, I attracted my first clients online, and my content also led to invitations for speaking opportunities. I used to be very shy, introverted, and rather reserved. But I realized that it’s not just about me; it’s about others. This realization gave me the courage to share more video content, and after 2019, my courage grew even more, allowing me to speak up. It became a ripple effect, leading to keynote presentations for organizations in business and as a UN Peace Ambassador.

How did you make the leap into coaching?

Coaching was not my first choice from the get-go, but as I zoomed out after pursuing different opportunities in the online space, I realized that I cannot just „chase money.“ Instead, I asked myself what makes me the most fulfilled and what legacy I wanted to leave in this world. That’s when I connected with my true essence, which has always been about empowerment, transforming lives, and aligning people’s purpose with the businesses and projects they undertake. As more people began asking me how I built my personal brand, how I monetize it, and how I attract clients, I naturally transitioned into a business coach.

After initially falling into debt, you turned a six-figure monthly profit in just eight months. How did you do it?

I went from six-figure debt to six-figure months in just eight months of starting my coaching business. I invested $10,000 in April 2021 into a coach who had already made millions, asking him to show me how. It was a scary investment, especially since I wasn’t in the best financial position, but I knew that staying where I was would cost me more in the long run.

I showed up daily, implemented what I learned, and used social media strategically to build my personal brand and business. What it took from me to create these results was not just strategy but also my leadership to show up powerfully and my persistence to keep going, even when I didn’t have clients. Even when I didn’t see results for months, I celebrated the small wins in my journey and built momentum from there. When I hosted a masterclass in October 2021, I made my first $43,000 in 90 minutes, and that’s where I got momentum that got me to my first $100,000 month. Having a mentor who guides you toward your goals and provides borrowed belief, especially when you are just starting out, is incredibly helpful. It helps you avoid expensive mistakes, see examples of good leadership, and model what already works.

With your online courses, you help entrepreneurs achieve their dreams and reach their target income. So if I became an entrepreneur and told you that I wanted to make at least 500,000-1 million, is that possible? And if so, how?

Of course, everything is possible when you put your mind to it and back it up with aligned action. Most people don’t have an income gap, they have a skill gap. The first step is to invest everything you can in closing your skill gap, rewiring your beliefs, and embodying traits such as discipline that help you achieve your goals. Secondly, attach your goals to a stronger purpose and vision. Most people quit when it’s hard or when things don’t work out for a certain period. But when you have a strong purpose, you win daily, and your persistence will be stronger in achieving it. Thirdly, build a personal brand that reflects your values and messaging that attracts your dream ideal clients for your online course.

Your media coverage is huge, you have been featured on Yahoo Finance, Wetel TV, Gulf Today, US Times and over 190 other publications. How come?

Over the past 3-4 years, I have focused on transforming lives daily, creating consistent content, and contributing as a speaker on various topics, including business, leadership, branding, zero sexual violence, and peacebuilding. By speaking on international stages and building relationships with journalists, I have gained media coverage. Throughout my journey, I also learned the art of pitching, storytelling, and adding value to media publications with relevant content that is helpful to their audience. My motto is always to lead by value and to help others win.

Last year, at 25 years old, you were nominated as ‘Best Business Mentor 2023’ by the royal family in Dubai and by Global Women Leaderships. Tell us about it.

It was a huge milestone to celebrate my nomination as the “Best Business Mentor 2023.” I also delivered my signature keynote on “Marry Yourself,” which discusses how I transformed my life in all areas. It’s a celebration of my entire journey since I started my business, going from a university dropout to being the CEO of my own company. What I loved most about it was seeing so many other impact-driven women thriving in various categories with strong purpose. It was inspiring to stand alongside other powerful women and to create stronger collaborations together.

It was a huge milestone to celebrate her nomination as the “Best Business Mentor 2023” in Dubai.”
You have been honored by Global Peace Chain & Young Professional Fellowship for your social achievements. In 2023, you received an award in Nepal in connection with entrepreneurship and various social projects. What are you most proud of and how do your entrepreneurial spirit and social projects go together?

I’m very grateful and happy to connect peace work with entrepreneurship, as both promote each other and help me understand certain contexts more deeply. I’m proud to serve as the Country Director for Global Peace Chain and as a UN Peace Ambassador, empowering more young leaders in the decision-making process and tackling global problems collaboratively using a design-thinking approach. I’m also an ambassador for Deborah International Outreach and Beyond Beauty Community from Nigeria, where I’m involved in a project called WarAID. We equip women and children not only with skill sets but also educate them on the fight against rape, and I lead masterclasses on how women can overcome sexual violence and abuse.

You have already helped over 15,000 people with your coaching, including Hollywood film directors. What is your mission?

My mission is to empower global healing. I aim to set an example that you can have it all: great health, thriving relationships, and a purposeful, abundant life. You are more than just a title; you’re an artist of life with many roles. It’s about embracing your purpose and leading a business that brings fulfillment. My mission is to strengthen faith on all levels.

What makes you different from other coaches?

I focus on implementation over just access to knowledge. 10% is knowledge, but 90% is implementation for success, and many people struggle in application. I embody my teachings and deliver them concisely, without adding countless video watch hours to my courses. I design my courses intentionally to be results-driven, showing people not only strategies but also how to lead themselves more effectively and anchor their identity. Many coaches’ clients end up becoming near-copies of their mentors or feeling confused about whose advice to follow. I guide my clients to become more of themselves, helping them build a unique brand voice that cuts through the noise. What sets me apart is also my story, the experience I bring, and the way I carry out my mission. Although I position myself as a business coach, many clients come to me for my holistic approach and the value I bring in areas like health, relationships, and faith. My clients not only achieve financial success but also experience more fulfilling marriages, stronger purpose, and even healing from chronic illnesses or traumas through my guidance as a coach.

Some of the coaches you train earn $30,000 in the first month. Do you promise your students success?

I never promise guaranteed results because that would be unethical and beyond my control. The only true guarantee is the one you give yourself. My mindset is that when you invest in yourself, the investment will always compound over your lifetime with huge ROI. It’s more about your attitude and how committed you are to your own vision. You can have the best coach in the world, but if you don’t put in the required work from your part, everything will be a scam. The only thing I promise is the delivery at my end, that I will stretch and challenge you as a mentor to reach your goals. I’ll share new perspectives and be direct when I see potential or areas for improvement to help you reach your goals more strategically. I equip you with mindset, strategy, tools, leadership, and a customized plan based on your vision.

At 61 years old, could I still train with you to become a coach and earn the $30,000 in the first month?

Of course! Age is just a number. I don’t believe in “too late” or “too early.” What matters is your determination and commitment to making it happen. No matter who you are, what your background is, or your age, there’s always something unique you can leverage as a cutting edge in what you do. I’m skilled at quickly identifying people’s strengths and gifts, and I can support you in packaging these with messaging and branding that aligns with your goals.

You encourage women to become ‘rich’ on other levels as well. What do you mean by that?

What I mean is that each person needs to define their own perception of success and what it means to feel „rich“ in different areas of life. My mission is to help people realize they are worthy of it all: great health, strong faith, loving relationships, and a purposeful business that generates financial abundance. While I support business owners and coaches in increasing profits, it’s about much more than just financial gains. True scaling means achieving success in a way that supports your ideal lifestyle and leaves you feeling fulfilled. Our destination is in the journey we take every day, so it’s essential to enjoy the process as well.

Why are there far fewer successful women?

I believe this is partly due to the traditional roles men and women have held in the past. However, more and more women are thriving in their careers and successfully balancing motherhood with running a business. Every woman needs to define her own goals in life.

A common pattern I noticed is that women often struggle with trust and confidence, leading to inaction or self-doubt. Men, on the other hand, tend to be more straightforward and assertive when claiming the income. I encourage women to create their own unique paths and trust their instincts, even if it means doing things differently from others. While there are still gender wealth gaps and other challenges, I believe women have unique advantages and can achieve as much success as men—or even surpass it. By understanding our own bodies, embracing our differences, and celebrating the art of being a woman, we can unlock our full potential.

Can men also book your courses? When does the next course start and how much does it cost?

Both men and women are welcome in my world; I don’t restrict access by gender. I mentor many male and female clients simultaneously, and what matters most is commitment and dedication beyond gender. As a woman, I can deeply relate to some struggles that women face, such as maintaining high performance despite hormonal and physical changes. However, my teachings and principles apply to all genders. My courses are available year-round. You can join individual courses or participate in my Inner Circle, which provides access to all my teachings, including money mindset, leadership, storytelling, and content frameworks. If you desire more hands-on support with your offer suite, messaging, branding, and strategy, there’s an option to combine the courses with my 1:1 mentorship.

What are your plans for the future?

My plans are to empower global healing in various ways. I intend to create more immersive artistic events that transform people on the spot. I aim to bring artists and entrepreneurs from around the world together to address social issues. For example, I plan to lead my own art gallery exhibitions, establish leadership academies with pragmatic approaches for young leaders, and elevate the coaching space with greater excellence and care in delivery. My faith in God is very important to me, and I feel called to strengthen faith in others by connecting arts, music, entertainment, diplomacy, and entrepreneurship. This vision is to reach the masses and foster connections across these fields.
